Globat to Namecheap transfer

I just sold a name and I am trying to transfer ownership. The name is registered at Globat.com and the buyer wants a transfer to namecheap.com. I spoke to the tech support people at globat but I am still confused as to how to get this done. Has anyone ever transferred a name out of globat before? could you please give me tep step guide as to how it should be done. Thanks in advance.

Obtain epp key from Globat and place transfer order at namecheap. Provide the access of the control panel to buyer.

Well, i never used globat, but they must give a Serial number or something and you need to enter it on your namecheap for transfer initiation. So in your case, the buyer will enter that number. It takes around 7 days for transfer. Please ensure that your domain is 3 months old before transfer.

yep request the epp code and don't forget to 'un-lock' (remove the registrar lock) the domain before you initiate the transfer.
