I regged this just after the "breaking news" announcement on BBC that the city of Glasgow in Scotland had secured the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

What do you reckon this baby is worth?

I know it has a hyphen, but my guess is there will be a lot of people looking for travel, hotel, and other information on this event and city over the next few years.

I would love to know how a domain pro would best monetize this site.

Any, and all, advice will be most welcome.

Still much before this event; so during this time I would not expect much resale potential, a hyphen hits value as well. So with plenty of time still ahead of us, the potential of this domain is very capped !~ at present. low XX

You mention 2014 is a long way off, but isn't that the whole point?

Up until the date of the event itself, there will be a steady stream of people looking for info on Glasgow and the Games.

They will be wanting to find travel info, accommodation info, where to eat, drink and places to visit.

Surely a parked/dev page with "Glasgow" related PPC ads would do quite well over time?

Maybe even better semi-developed with a few appropriate articles etc...

Develop an informative site regarding glasgow-games.. hopefully it will attract traffic during this period, then it becomes fully developed site that you could sell in 2014.. but then, you have to compute that you are going to pay regfee X8years or so. :tu:
