Getting vc funding and/or investments

I have a website that has taken off in terms of hits and users in just under a year since being put online. In fact the project is not even out of beta yet and I find it is doing very well. The site averages over 60,000 hits a day and has over 6,000 users.

Still small yes, but I have outgrown the bandwidth my business class DSL line provides and I don't make enough money as a developer to move the site over to a co-location center. The bandwidth concern is stopping me from moving forward with ideas (payed-for accounts, and many many many awesome features).

I have many student loans so it would be difficult for me to get a loan and do this on my own... So how do I secure investment and/or vc funding for my site. I would need several hundred a month pumped into the project/company to get in a coloation center and begin advertising. (Thats right its done that amount of hits with just some forum posts and word of mouth advertising- I have put virtually no money into this project as of yet)

Friends and family --that is your only option right now.

VCs usually invest in projects over $500,000 --mostly ongoing businesses with track records, profits, and proven management.
