Did you register a fresh new domain, or did you buy an existing domain in the aftermarket?

I see. How much did you pay for that domain?

They should tell the reason without asking. Communication is not one of their core skills, advertising is.

GoDaddy's refund policy depends on the type of product purchased. If you bought a domain, hosting, or other services under "Buy Now," refunds are usually available within a specific timeframe. Domains typically have a 5-day refund period, while hosting and other services may have a 30-day refund window. To request a refund, you need to contact GoDaddy support via chat or phone. If eligible, the refund is processed back to the original payment method. Some products, like premium domains or custom services, may be non-refundable. Always check GoDaddy’s refund policy for specific details.

I read it that OP had already received a refund instead of receiving their domain.

Wouldn't GD have picked up on the name earlier and kept it then, rather than listing it?

Or is it possible - however unlikely - that two people purchased at the same time?

As @Future Sensors says, try and get some more info.

of course earlier.

the 1000s of bin items still owned by previous owners do not get picked gd attention until there is bin

if they did they would all be removed and this issue to buy previous owner listing would never exist

Looking on ICANN i found out the domain is owned by GoDaddy since last year and yet to expire.
As i said i found this domain as a buy now option and ive contacted [email protected] twice to know what is happening and i havent got a reply yet. Getting to contact them through the support chat (which is so hard to find in their website) told me to email the auction team after the support guy contacted the sales team. I think something shady its happening behind the scenes, probably an error of the sales team and now that they found out they wont let the domain get....

@GoDaddy may be able to help you, if you provide the domain in DM to them.

Hi @ssss999,
A forum might not be the best place to resolve this, but we're here to guide you to the right resources. If this was an aftermarket purchase, you can reach out to the Afternic support team via afternic.com/contact; using the live chat option will connect you the quickest. For an Auctions purchase, i.e an expired domain, contacting [email protected], as you've already done, is the right step.
