.mobi GEO dot mobi? Worth or Waste?

Sorry to ask You this but I'm going to reg some dot mobi, niche is: geo names/places with big population stats or a tourism destionation. Does geo.mobi worth as an investment or just a waste of money in todays market? since GEO name is a strong market in other TLDs. Guys, I think I need Your opinions :gl: will appreciate It

As much as I hate .MOBI, I would still consider buying an ultra strong GEO.

That sounds optimistic enough for Me, I would then consider to acquire some geo names in dot mobi. But what about the dot mobi market demands on The niche Itself, does anyone has statistics or sales report for geo.mobi? Have a nice day. :tu:

If you look in the .mobi marketplace you'll see that the name had better be extremely good to get some action these days. Don't think you'll get rich on CityST or CityState names in .mobi these days.

I wouldn't buy a mobi these days unless you have dev plans for it. The price you will pay for a decent aftermarket name will most likely leave no room to profit on a resale. That goes for a great geo or the best keywords.

I know if best keywords or great Geo was all taken so that I won't have any rooms for that [I'd better look at Their IDNs in other extensions :bingo:] but how bout If I have City names in dot mobi that have huge population stats [Let's say ..100k - 1 Millions people or above? or having a beautiful tourism places?] would It still be a good investment?

"City"tourism.mobi names? You may get lucky but I suspect you'll just waste money as a speculator on such names for now. But that's just my opinion.

Really depends on the city. There's huge cities with little development and mass poverty and then there is London, Berlin, New York, Tokyo, Chicago, Vancouver, Dallas, etc. Nearly all of the top world "city".mobi domains (spelled in English) were held back by the registry and now in contract with world.mobi, if you're talking about huge famous cities spelled in other languages that is an option but it isn't clear there currently is an aftermarket for these. I don't follow them closely.

There isn't much of a market for ANY .mobi's these days, but I think large city .mobi's can be great for extensive development projects.
