So, where do we start?!

Well, for the beginners, why don't you have a look at the attached screenshot?

The so called Chinese Premium letter 4L.com are at the lowest for last 90 days and this time no excuse of Chinese new year.

This so called big Chinese investors have zero interest in playing it decent.

After grabbing tens of thousands names at $20-200, they pumped it to 3,000$ then lost interest in it letting it to crash to $1,800$ and counting, they, like bunch of locusts, moved to other asset classes for new pump and dumps, including 2-3-4 L, N .ws, 5L, 7N. They did not care how much they hurt 4L.com chips by starting new rumor of LNQRP being semi-premium (the whole point of premium is not being semi-premium), as long as they could bring some value to first 15 letters they could buyout first, now they need more suckers to grab those unwanted letter domains, about 350,000 remaining and once they'll find them (and they will find them), they'll pump up the prices, sell the premiumer ones they hold (patterns, 15 uber premiums etc.), then the locusts are off to the next field and you can hold your babies.

You are welcome to your opinion of course and indeed prices may soon start recovering.
However, the OP started this thread and has made some very valid points which anyone being completely honest with themselves know is true.

Since he started the thread, prices have continued to tank overall.
Many buyers got fooled into thinking there was some magical value in these 4l chips.
Time has proven that this is not the case, it is/was simply a pump and dump scheme.

If you want to participate in that and try and make money power to you.
However, many people who had no clue what was going on buying in at $2.5k+ type prices have now been left holding the bag hoping for one day things to improve.

From here, each to their own, I just hope people come out of this with something close to what they paid and don't get too burned in the end.

i don´t belive they will fall under $1000 each. but in that range they could be.At least for random ones.So they will have some value for sure.

But I am a little sorry for the guys, who bought 5 letter .com-s named them CHIPS and now there is no market for them whatsower. And 4 letter .net-s .

And it still amazes me how the Chinese can create bubbles and hold them for so long. Shanghai there is still a housing bubble, still going on. I mean for over 10 years.

1. These aren't stocks. (This is what they are trying to create....not gonna happen)

2. Absolutely there are people who buy into the hype and lose it all. (Look at the past with .mobi....Many of the top elite domainers bought into the hype with hundreds of thousands of dollars.

What happen to their money then????

That is only about 150K...

And many names are just in circulation, it is not like they are being wiped out...

@frank-germany has a ton of chips so of course he's always trying to talk them up. Sound like a broken record but I don't think domains can ever sustain being so 'liquid' as with the chip rage. You're selling at either end-user or re-seller price. The sky's the limit on that end-user price. How long will you have to wait? What are the chances they'll be willing to pay 10k+ when all other 4L are selling $1-2k? You lose a lot of negotiating power on that fact alone.

You can still do good with your chips if you bought at 2k each, but you'll just have to wait for end-users. It could take a lifetime...not the way most domainers like to do things. I will say, patience is a virtue, and a huge part of investing. Without patience you'll never make it.

I would put a 10k price-tag each chip if I got left holding the bag at this point. Just wait it out wait for end users to make contact. Invest new money into new ideas.

Keep saying "It's not crashing" because someday it will be done crashing then you can have the satisfaction of being right. I really doubt chips are going to bounce right up to 2k+ avg. (btw, use avg. not 'floor') They will go up when they find that bottom but it will be a long slow road ahead. This one is played out.

This just goes for 4L .coms though. 3L in other extensions might do very well in the near future, but 4L+ is just too much.

Again, the floor supported by fundamentals for Chips, excluding the likes of xjln (I don't want to go in Chinese pinyin thing, as it is hard to tell what is true and what is narrative for hype), good/ok pronounceables, good acronyms etc. is in $500-1200 range (based on 2-4% annual sales at $2.5k-5K end user price with expected return on investment of 8-12%)...

Anything beyond $500-1200 investor price is speculation based on hope for some virtual currency etc. I expect LLLL.com chips to go down to around $1K or below once the holders realize it is not bringing income from appreciation and end sales are too small to justify holding.
