Garbage in - Garbage out! Chips crashing

So, where do we start?!

Well, for the beginners, why don't you have a look at the attached screenshot?

The so called Chinese Premium letter 4L.com are at the lowest for last 90 days and this time no excuse of Chinese new year.

This so called big Chinese investors have zero interest in playing it decent.

After grabbing tens of thousands names at $20-200, they pumped it to 3,000$ then lost interest in it letting it to crash to $1,800$ and counting, they, like bunch of locusts, moved to other asset classes for new pump and dumps, including 2-3-4 L, N .ws, 5L, 7N. They did not care how much they hurt 4L.com chips by starting new rumor of LNQRP being semi-premium (the whole point of premium is not being semi-premium), as long as they could bring some value to first 15 letters they could buyout first, now they need more suckers to grab those unwanted letter domains, about 350,000 remaining and once they'll find them (and they will find them), they'll pump up the prices, sell the premiumer ones they hold (patterns, 15 uber premiums etc.), then the locusts are off to the next field and you can hold your babies.

@DomainVP- So where are we exactly now on that graph for LLLL.COM :)

Getting close to "Fear" or in it.

It's going to be a long slope. If 4L's continue to follow this similar path by Dec 2016 / Jan 2017 4L's will see a very low floor price.

Every time the price drops people say, 'oh its a bad week,' or 'oh its the holiday,' or its a minor price correction. That's going to keep happening all the way to the floor.

Because it's been a bad week since the peak , over and over.

You will likely be able to continue to read the BTC charts and follow the fate of 4L chips, because value has nothing to do with this... it's an exercise in human behavior someone played to get mega rich.

Hard right now to argue with anything you are saying.
I mentioned somewhere else that I think we're close to fear setting in.

Sure enough I just received a PM from someone I know who is very worried about his buys of 4l chips in the last couple of months and wondering whether to just get out with what he can at a loss. If he's thinking that I guarantee others are as well, and if not yet will be soon if this carries on much longer.

I think many of the big chinese investors dumped their 4l.com chips a long time ago which would explain the tiny number of BIN sales in china in the recent 4+ months with barely a day of big volume (100+ sales a day) to be seen.

N.B. That chart of llllsales.com for chips is well behind. I'm seeing sellers here struggling to get over $1500 for average chips at the moment.

Each to their own!

I would just keep an eye on the next 15 day moving average, if it drops by $150 - $300 then some 4L owners might want to reexamine their position.

It's certainly interesting to see first year folks playing this day by day. ;)

Get back to me in June and July and we'll see where we're at.

It seems alot of people keep referring 4L .coms as all in the same category.

The market for non "chip" 4L's is completely separate.

When the plug is pulled on these moronic "chip" 4L's and they fall back to reality, the "standard" good letter ones will retain good value.

One of the issues is that alot of newbies stormed the industry when this chip bullshit started.

So all they know of value is chips.

Reality will set in very soon....

*eyeroll* I love how when people miss trends they call them "moronic", as if they had some infinite wisdom in missing the boat that others didn't have by being on it.

As is, I just an hour ago received a $40k blind off on a 3L chip that was getting blind $10k offers a year ago. I'm so happy I'm an idiot and ignored them last year.

It's totally cool if you don't get the chips thing. It's totally cool if you didn't get in on it early enough to see the largest of % ROI as others. But name calling it moronic for lack of a better more rational way to explain it away is fool talk.

IMHO.

It is as moronic as penny stocks, pyramid schemes, ect....

Alot of us choose not to get in the game for certain reasons.

Has nothing to do with not getting in quick enough ect....

Nothing wrong with making money.

But the issue is with the same people trying to keep the hype alive so they can dump what they have left.

You can Polish a turd as much as you want....but it will still always be a turd.

I completed a sale of a 5L "chip" .com to an end user in January for $1,450. Suggesting 4L have no higher value end user potential is, again, fools talk and a non understanding of the market.

Meanwhile, I'm really happy with the way my super shiny turd turned out as the amount of time spent polishing it was less than 2 months. ;)

Again.

There is nothing wrong with making money, and it's great that alot did.

What I'm saying is in reference to the thread subject.

This entire chinese hype is a pump and dump scheme.

People also make tons of money on penny stocks....but that doesn't mean they are investing in legitimate companies.

The underlying reason prices are falling is there is nobody willing to pay higher than the last round of people paid for their domains. Hence people start selling, nobody is buying, others see the price fall, they start selling, then downward price drops accelerate, and people try to catch what they perceive as bottoms.

The Chinese are by no means experts, talk to the guys who have held these 4L.com's in their portfolios for a decade, they have the real data. Most of them took the opportunity to get that $2,xxx for that Jibberish 4L.com, and take money off the table.

The domains in Chinese hands will most likely never find their way back to the Western continents again, it is really their issue how they get their costs out now. You got every extension trying to market into China, Wild Wild West out there right now. Everyone is selling them a dream.

I would think that they bought most of the good stuff on the way up. Now there is only the stuff that is so so to them and they aren't going to pay the premiums anymore.

It might be a bottom of the barrel kind of thing.

If we all got into the market around the same time, we would be buying up the best domains first. Hang onto the good stuff and sell off the lesser quality domains.

Just a guess on my part because I don't get the chinese market.

"Bad week" continues...

You have to feel bad for anyone who was eyeing a $3k floor.

Looks like the Chinese are cutting their losses, no way to positively spin this.

Yeah, could crash the whole theory of "who needs end users" that gave life to whole classes of worthless "assets", like Chinese prem 4L.cctlds that had nothing to do with China...

There was a thread on here calling for $5K, it looks like lack of follow thru buying, probably a top has been seen, and it is time to find a new moving average.

Many western investors hoping for higher levels, did get caught not being able to sell at around $2400, then 2200, 2000, 1800, Looks to be a healthy buying range in the $1500-1800 range currently.

Even the poster a few posts above, could not get $1.9K for a domain that a few weeks ago would have sold for $2.5K easily. This is where the gaming part of it comes into play, so begins the battle upward.

Right now technically the momentum is broken, it will take some of that serious Chinese buying power to jumpstart this 4L.com train, if it happens it happens, if not then we go lower. I think many Western investors are shying away from speculating with such an expensive acquisition cost.

The market is being manipulated if you understand how, you can predict where price will go to next. The reason why I know this is because exactly the same thing happens in Forex but is 100 times more difficult as manipulation happens on all timeframes.

Good to see that my lack of sale of DXYZ is representative of the entire market. I've finally made it in domain investing :)

It is not your lack of sale, the name is everything the chinese desire no lnrqp, has a xyz ending relating to a similar gtld, it says something about investor confidence in investing. You say it yourself, read the data, do the homework, well when people aren't buying good names at a fair price, that says something.
