Garbage in - Garbage out! Chips crashing

So, where do we start?!

Well, for the beginners, why don't you have a look at the attached screenshot?

The so called Chinese Premium letter 4L.com are at the lowest for last 90 days and this time no excuse of Chinese new year.

This so called big Chinese investors have zero interest in playing it decent.

After grabbing tens of thousands names at $20-200, they pumped it to 3,000$ then lost interest in it letting it to crash to $1,800$ and counting, they, like bunch of locusts, moved to other asset classes for new pump and dumps, including 2-3-4 L, N .ws, 5L, 7N. They did not care how much they hurt 4L.com chips by starting new rumor of LNQRP being semi-premium (the whole point of premium is not being semi-premium), as long as they could bring some value to first 15 letters they could buyout first, now they need more suckers to grab those unwanted letter domains, about 350,000 remaining and once they'll find them (and they will find them), they'll pump up the prices, sell the premiumer ones they hold (patterns, 15 uber premiums etc.), then the locusts are off to the next field and you can hold your babies.

I know. Its just nice to see things rising again. If you held that is..
It is amazing how something could go from being so in demand it had an instant floor price, to being sliced in half, to be on the rise again for no other reason that the Chinese manipulating this space for the most part.

Most of those Chinese buyers lost 50% right off the top, I wonder if they will be selling if we go back to that $2,500 range.

I have to wonder about a "dead cat bounce" but hope that isn't the case.

But also, it was almost a year ago, minus a month or so, when things really started to heat up last year.

I still admire guys who sold at the peak of $2k+, one friend sold 55 for $125k, I mean he spent years back maybe $3k total for them.

Good luck to all who bought at levels 2k+, you will need it.

Already see some threads where guys ask where can I get the most money of my 2k investment ? - need money fast :)

Jokers.

Domain market statics work like a heartbeat.Completely flat or rise/fall continuously means the market will be dead very soon.Since the beginning of 2016 many domainers are facing a hard time because they bought domains at the peak and mostly are short time flippers. Did anyone notice since the fall starts all good domains especially short domains are faced off from the market and when you research whois data, you will end up in few names and mostly are corporations? So far it's just a theory and I'm not an astrologer. Cannot predict the future but I always try to look at the bright side.

People who got caught up in the hype and got in over their heads don't need to be labeled "jokers" IMO. We all make mistakes, some pretty foolish in retrospect.

It's unfortunate to witness, but why add salt to their wounds?

More unfortunate is all the backstabbing in this biz.

No one adding salt to anyone wounds. it's fact. Like i bought many Chips .org at their peak from aftermarket when they crossed $50 and i spent handsome amount on those but right after few days market fall. So now if anyone talk about the fall or say i bought at high price. that doesn't mean someone scratching up my wounds. it's business as i have mentioned above (Domain market statics work like a heartbeat.) Doesn't matter if i loss in few. i have gain and will gain good in others.

I believe this has everything to do with China approving .coms with real name verification - http://www.thedomains.com/2016/07/2...ion-requirements-finally-enabled-com-domains/ There were so many rumours about will China ban .com and .net etc. but this story finally put that to bed and Chinese investors are pilling back in with the uncertainty out the way.

This isn't about 6n.coms or anything else being in demand, it is all liquid chinese assets going up because of this story. I have plenty 4l.nets, 5l.com chips etc. so they will all benefit if this carries on for a while.

Will see where this goes.

It's true good quality 4l.com are a lot harder to find and if they are for sale they cost a lot more then before ... most that are for sale here are low quality all the good ones have been bought and are sought after ..I feel we are going through a period where the majority starts to learn prime from terrible , the smart guys new this before the rise . Any the spectrum spread will widen .. for example crappie 4l.com could go to 150 and the good 4l.com with vowels head to the thousands..

5L chips ? These are names they were selling for $25 in bulk lots months ago, that now can't even get $2 on namepros.

This scenario seemed to be in play for a while, exit at the top, stop the buying, wait for the market to correct, come back, push it higher, rinse, and repeat.

These people have little interest in domains, more so using the commodity as a trading vehicle.

I agree, however I believe the story above is the reason for the pump in prices we're seeing across the board. Will I be able to get away with my $10k investment in 5l.com chips in time for renewals? I still doubt it but if the 4l chip market keeps soaring then anything is possible I guess.

4l.com are in the paradym mindset of companies and are in current use with high percentage plus sought after ..5l.Coms is different model all together I would not agree as if 4l.com rise 5l.com must rise too.after what happened I think investors are having more caution and will stay away from 5l.com .

It's very possible even if 4l.com chips rise to close to old highs that the Chinese won't jump back in to 5l.com chips. I already accepted that I got caught in the hype 7/8 months ago and have written them off and waved goodbye to $10k.

However, nobody knows for sure, anything is possible, perhaps demand will return, even if it's a small % chance. 6n.coms are flying today and let's be honest there's no real end user demand for these either.
