I found it funny how the Progressive Auto Insurance commercial says that they spend "thousands of hours a week making sure that their price comparisons are accurate" :p Keep in mind that there's 168 hours in a week, saying that they spend THOUSANDS that's at least 2000 hours, so let's do the math: 2000 hours / 24 hours in a day, = 83.333333 days, / 7 days in a week that's almost 3 months :p

Maybe they're so productive, they somehow manage spending thousands of hours in a week?..

Go PROGRESSIVE! :hehe:

Maybe they add a couple peoples week hours, in order to make thousands a week. ;)

They are talking about "man hours" which is the sum of all the hours worked by those in that department.

Let's say they have 50 people working in that specific dept per shift with 3 shifts a day. That would be 50 people X 24 hours per day X 7 days a week = 8400 per week in "man hours."

That would mean in about 40 hours they would have the minimum required 2000 hours to meet the "truth in advertising" requirements.

I'd like to hire someone who could work for me 54 hours a day, 7 days a week, that would be fun :) Especially now that my coffee maker broke B-)

Haha, I actually got a video of this :p So if anyone has no clue what I'm talking about, check it out for yourself ;)

(BTW, "thousands" means at least 2,000; at 8 hours a day, that's at least 250 employees :hehe: Pretty awesome)

I cannot view streaming WMA videos files...

I am sure by "they" put thousands of hours a week means their company, which consists of many employees, not just one...

However, they could of rephrased it. :)
