I'm wondering how many of you have entered into this industry on a full-time basis and whether you are earning enough to maintain a decent lifestyle?

I've included a nice little poll at the top of the page. If you're not a full-time domainer, perhaps you could tell us whether or not you have ever considered domaining as a full-time career?

To all those who are full-time (and even those who are part-timers or hobbyists), could you tell us what areas of the industry you have dabbled in (e.g. brokerage, development, aftermarket sales, working for an industry player (e.g. oversee.net, sedo, a registrar etc)?

Could be quite an informative topic should eveyone choose to contribute. Look forward to hearing what you all have to say :)

Part timer here,

Maybee 1-3 hours a day.

Starting to develop My names now on a large scale.
Buy a lot of names on the aftermarket (.us only ) And quite a few deleted names

Dont think i could ever do this full time, (like my offline job to much)

Your poll seems to be "closed"

Thanks for the reply DotUS.

Yep, poll seems not to be working. Oh well. Maybe a mod could help?

Until then I guess we have to do without.

i am a hobbyist and aspiring ft domainer. i am new to the game and have a few gems (at least i think so) that i want to develop and/or sell. it seems to me like domaining is a nice mix of art and science, kinda like poker lol so its fascinating.

Full-Time Domainer. Have been for the past year. Things were moving along just fine until this summer when It slowed down for me. Hoping for things to pick back up so I can continue doing what I love.

Mainly a domainer - no "regular" job, but trying to fit both domaining and creative writing (a novel or two) into my daily schedule.

Domaining is just a small part of the big picture :) .... of course if you have some big time domains then that is all you need!

Are you trying to specialize in typo domains?

I definately look at domaining / developing as a hobby rather than a career of any sort. I don't like the idea of being confined to a computer for long periods of time, I get lonely in my cage sometimes :]
