It's obviously a brandable (these are called leet domains), so I know it's a tough one to appraise, but I'm curious to have your opinions

What about something social-related?

Undeveloped leet domains are difficult to value right now, BUT I do believe that fri3nds.com could be developed into a blockbuster site. It's just perfect.

Who knows what an end user might pay for this?

I like the symmetry of this domain (the number smack dab in the middle of the domain. I also have a symmetrical leet domain (sa1es.com), but this one is a lot less appropriate for the leet community.

It's a fun domain to develop but tough to sell IMO.
I can't remember the last leet domain sale. I would not say there is a strong market for these.

Yes, as I said, it's hard to appraise such a domain because it's a brandable (l33t domains are just that). I regged it mainly because I like its shortness (@MsDomainer: your sa1es.com is even shorter) and memorability.

Curious to hear what other members have to say about this.

The name is nice but has no value on its own. If developed properly and marketed as a brand, then probably it has some good value. Personally I wouldn't gamble my resources on leet names.

It looks cool, but I think would be tricky to brand. It fails the speak test badly. Wholesale value mid xx right now I'd say maybe. You never know as l33t speakers age and gain wealth maybe one will want to start a community of their own.

LeetSpeak is only an alternative way of spelling used by CRETINS. Do not use it for regging Domains.

Domaining is hard enough without making it more difficult by trying to be "Clever"

Anyway this domain doesn't have to be necessary l33t fanatics-oriented, does it? Why, in your opinion, couldn't a mainstream social networking site be successfully branded with a name like this? I've found out there's a website using a very similar domain which has a current Alexa ranking of 30K.
