Freelancer.com's new domain marketplace, FreeMarket.com

Have any of you tried the new FreeMarket.com domain marketplace?

I think it's probably the simplest of all the domain market places that I've seen. It almost looks somehow incomplete, like there should be a "under construction" sign somewhere....

I'm glad that there are more site's popping up, as this could possible increase competition and drive down commission prices. So far FreeMarket and Flippa's new Catalog portfolio listing service have 10 percent commssions. If these new services prove to be competitive enough, Sedo and Afternic / Godaddy will have to offer something new or lower their commissions.

Hey namefu, thanks for posting. Thought I'd follow up on your post - Freemarket has undergone some big changes lately. We now host 6000 listings and recently released features that allow you attach files to your listing (to prove revenue claims etc.) and now require payment verification for bidding etc. (which will reduce fake bidding). We're keen to continue getting feedback from the community and our users, so feel free to let me know what you think.

There is another post on here about FreeMarket..I tried them out a couple months back. Needless to say, it was pretty bad. Many of the features/options were all messed up and paying the upgrade prices seamed slightly high for such a new marketplace. Hopefully @Stefan Hogan is right and things have improved there, because they should have never opened with the kinds of issues they had before!

Hey FPForum, yep I've seen the other thread and have been replying to people there. As for the feedback, yes as with any product launch the beginning is always a bit rocky. As I mentioned we have improved a lot since then. I would be keen for you to use Freemarket again and let me know your experience. We're building the site out and are actively looking for feedback from the community.
