Hello all,

I've been kicking around an idea for a new type of domain name marketplace that I think can help buyers, sellers, and investors-
The platform would allow domainers to list their domains for sale like any other platform, however, it would also allow other domainers (or anyone else) to actively or passively market and sell other people's domains.

Owners have the ability to have numerous people brokering their domains. Owners can negotiate terms of commission, where to market, and other guidelines. An affiliate type of link will be created upon agreement which the seller can use to complete the sale, entitling them to a cut of the proceeds.

Sellers can market great domain names without overhead, while utilizing preexisting connections to make a cut of a sale.

I think this type of platform can create a more transparent marketplace for domain names and increase the number of sales. I would love to see what others think of the idea and if you think it would help your domaining business.

Thanks

I had this idea too. Put it on back burner. Good luck! I though it has potential.

Just like the Amazon of domaining with it's affiliate program.

I considered this a while ago as always thinking about different angles and have a few of my domain sales sites with affiliate tagging already enabled. Think it works more on a here's the brokers qualifications/history pick who ya want to represent ya over here's the domains live on a site where 25 different people can run free with your domains and are spamming everyone as then ya end up with 25 emails to the same end user which just confuses them into who do I buy from or do I buy at all if I got 25 emails from different addresses about the same domain. I've received quite a few emails over the years about domains and most weren't very good sales pitches. So if your not doing the marketing yourself think it's risky to have mass parties run free with your whole list as quality of the broker matters.

Might just work. Marketing is crucial.

I think we have too many marketplaces already.
But not enough buyers.
