Ubuntu is shipping the brand new 5.10 version for free. It is a great distribution and you cannot beat free. They will ship you up to 55 cds at once.

heh... i got aprox 26,000 of them, came in four of those big boxes...

Personally after installing it, it turned out to be shit IMO.

Now, I use the cases for jewl cases, as i recorded over the cdrw

oh yaeh.. mine came today.. 50 of them.. bah.. I dunno what to do with them.. it came from the netherlands I think.. it says ubuntu and have 2 cds in 1 pack :D

I asked for 25 lives and 25 installs, I got 50 lives and 50 installs LOL oohh yah.. I might order 2k of them next time :D

I wanna give them out to everyone but twice linux has ruined my pc(well two of my pcs :D)

Why do that when you don't know what to do with 50? People ordering more than they need makes me sorry I posted this.. it costs everyone time and money..

And can all of you requesting cds that you don't need and can't use!! PLEASE STOP your hurting the Linux community when you waste resources like this. Do something more productive with your time.

Hm, I guess they weren't sending them out with the intention that people sell them.. those were free. They sent those all over the world at their expense.. I don't know how they could have afforded it. Mine came Priority Mail.

I wish you were giving those away...

Why dont you go to your local electronics stores and drop them off at the counter- be sure to speak with the manager first so that they dont get tossed.

Mine too. They were shipped from the UK. Cost them 5 euros to ship to the US. Its sad that people are abusing this and ordering more than necessary. I ordered the minimum amount of 5. 1 for me and I gave 4 away to friends to try out the live cd and they really like it.

I just got mine a couple of day's ago took almost 2 months.

I was hoping to install it on a couple of older computers I have but once installed my mouse is real jerky and not much use I believe its just taking to much resources.

Anyone know of a good OS that will work on older systems like a 350 PII with 128 ram?
