Free software to create software box?

I have some ebooks that wanted to publish and I need to create some software boxes... Is there any program I can use? I am going to offer these ebooks for free so I don't want to pay for graphics designer to create a software box... I want to do it myself..

You can use those things mentioned above followed by the GIMP to touch up the graphics. GIMP works on both Linux/Windows.

I just found a free action script that creates some really nice looking software boxes and it only requires to have Adobe Photoshop installed.
