For a quality, full-featured i would go with 000k

I am very pleased with 000k. It has two features I have not seen in any other free webhosts ------ cpanel and fantastico, Image Magick, Gd...... the list goes on. The main limiting factor is site size and bandwith. This php + mySQL hoster is, and would be great for anyone looking for unsurpassed features in a free webhost that they plan on growing out of once their site is established. I just ran across. FRandT. It is located at http://www.frandt.com. It is good hosting and has many features. The bandwith and space could be better. Note that you must sign up for a trial for the free hosting. Trials are for unlimited numbers of days.

I am using this host. I think it is quite good. It's free, no ads, 50MB space, unlimited bandwith, unlimited subdomains. The only compliant I have about it is that you HAVE to upload pages and you can't just enter HTML in a page on it.

Try out http://www.activewebhosting.com/free/ as they give you lots of room to grow and even an FTP login. Their ads are small tabs on the side of every page which pops out when you put the mouse over it. So their ads aren't too obtrusive. www.geocities.com is another place I've tried and liked but they don't give much space or bandwidth, and their ads are more intrusive. Plus they don't give you an FTP account with the free account. But they are really easy to use, and provide a few web templates to get you started.

Those are the only two hosting companies that I have had good experience with which offer free hosting.

Does anyone know of a host thats free and also reliable/fast? I've had some freehosts that are mindbogglingly slow even though they offer like 5GB of space and 30GB of bandwidth.
