The magic.dir.mobi is free tool for developing mobi sites with RSS/content and ads. The pages are parked at park.dir.mobi, so there is nothing to download/upload, just sign-up for free account and make pages in minutes. Now you can create your own account and save/edit pages. Tha pages will be parked as park.dir.mobi/your-username.


Here is the tip for advanced users, the tool is flexible. You can get very creative with the tool. You can add you own content ( with photos etc) very easily. For example, you want a recipes site without RSS, then just add the content ( recipes with photos, photos parked somewhere) and not use the RSS feed. You can make index pages, link pages .... also very easily. You can have a domain with 100 pages of content or 100 domains using 100 pages, or combination. It's upto you how to use the tool.

I will get the revenue from any clicks on the bottom ad ( I have to pay for hosting...) and you get 100% on any clicks on your top ad ( which I think will be most).

This tool works like a CHAMP. Everyone should take the time to just build a minisite as opposed to parking. The more developed mobis the better for us all.

One more thing about ads, I have ( and I guess thinking1 as well ) has tried admob.com and I am getting good results (money!) with my dir.mobi. I have tried sedo before with my .com and .mobi sites and never made any money, but with admob , I see some good returns for a change.

I have personally tried sedo and nothing came of it for mobile, so hosted them myself and put admob.com on the sites, they are paying very nicely

Well, even with option 2, the pages will be still be parked at park.dir.mobi. I have decided not to give the program/script because the script requires secure shell access and cronjob on the server for feed update to work. Lot of people may/maynot have this capability on their hosting and may not know how to configure. It would be difficult for me to provide support and debug, if someone is not able to configure their server properly. Runing the script on my server is much easier.

Regarding charges, It would depend on the how many people are interested in option 2. If more people are ready to sign-up for option 2, I can reduce the price. In my last thread I mentioned that this will be driven by NPr's. If more people are interested , I would like to know. So, please post here about your interest and how much should be charged per month. We can do a poll as well about this.
