I have found some keywords with 10k+ exact searches a month and the corresponding domain names are still available in all extensions but .com.

-should I register .net version of the same?
-which factors (like CPC/competition) should I take into account before spending $$$ on them?

Any kind of advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Are they products or services people purchase on the internet?

Just because somebody "searches" for something doesn't always mean you can make money for the term.

Just an FYI

It's neither of the two. It is something like a phrase "magic tricks" which people search out of curiosity - which can't be monetized well.

Niches like this can be monetised but it is always going to be an uphill struggle I think. All you really need to do is sell a couple of tickets to Penn & Teller a year to break even.

Better sticking to something with clear commercial intent until you get enough money to fund one of these tougher sites, unless you have specialised knowledge.

I suppose that would be good idea to register NET domain name extension for it. make sure you do not violate trademaks.
