Hi there,

I was looking at an auction on Ebay (the place where the best domains go for cheap and the worst ones go for TONS :hehe: ), and I was wondering if on this specific auction it was just me - or am I right here...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5818759411&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT

Should this really go for $1,999? Or $199 for that matter :alien: ?

I'm not sure if I would pay more than mid $XX for that domain imo... Just wondering if I'm wrong on this one :) Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Well it's probably worth mid $xxx , :imho: , but on eBay you can charge whatever you want, not just what it's "worth".
But ForSaleAds.com is pretty strong for a keyword combo.

I wouldn't buy it for that price, but maybe someone else would!

$2k seems like a fair price for ForSaleAds.com. Why not, it's a fairly common term. Wanted & For Sale Ads?

RJ - for an end user perhaps you're right I suppose, although as an end user if I had 2K to spare on a domain, I don't think I would have picked up that one of all my possibilities.

The person offering $1,999 on the domain and eventually upping his own max bid was a new user with 0 feedback... My guess is this is the seller trying to inflate their own auction, but no way of knowing really. Oh well :)

On that same auction he claims the domain is worth more than ForSaleByOwners.com... And the $8,888,888 on the other auction is quite hillarious too, I wonder if he honestly believes that himself.

I'd like to thank everyone for the feedback.

:imho: Anything is worth whatever you can find somebody stupid enough to pay for it. Looks like he found somebody to pay his price on that one. As for his group of birdflu names, I'd say he priced those that high wth no intention of actually selling them on ebay. Those names should actually bring in the high $xxxx or more. I believe he is simply using ebay to advertise them and waiting on offers, then he will sell them outside of ebay avoiding some of ebays fee's.
