Hi all,

I have just added my domains in Flippa Domain Catalog and I thought why not ask from mates here if they have any success in selling or receiving any offers on their domain names from this marketplace.

I am seeing that Flippa has recently become pretty active in selling good domain names for a fairly good price. However I am under the impression that the majority of domains sold there didn't get the "end user" price, but still it wasn't that much of a 'wholesale' price either.

What are your thoughts?

I have sold 2 domains from the catalog, yet it is worth to mention that the buyer was a customer who bought from me q domain via flippa auction a week before...

Thanks for your response LoneDeranger.

So did the buyer saw the domain catalog himself or did you pointed it to him? Also if it's O.K, can you share the prices for which you have sold the domains for.

Good day,

sold 3 domains from the catalog so far, but on the lower end.. around $500 roughly.. transaction went smooth, all 3 were sold to different buyers.. there are people who do really browse the flippa catalogs (in search for deals) after all, this much i noticed already..

Sold 4 in the last 12 months through the catalog, small deals... Also, a few negotiations that didn't lead to a deal.

I get offers on my domains about 1 every 3 weeks or so. Generally just tire kickers and one that wont stop hounding me for a name but keeps low balling. I just use it for exposure since no sales have come from it.

Good day,
Each domain was sold for less than a 100$.. High xx$
He pointed himself to it, but as mentioned, he purchased a domain from me before..

One domain sold in the last 3 weeks, is not too bad for a free service....

I've got a handful of offers through flippa catalog more than any other platform ive ever sold one. But I only worked out one offer for $850.00 and the transaction was smooth. Most of the offers came from buyers new to flippa who registered just to buy the domain.

It has been a decent source of under $1000 sales. I set my minimum bid on all names to $100 to cut out the noise, and it seems to work well enough. Flippa's free escrow helps as well.

Thanks for sharing the info mates.

So if I am getting it right, one can not expect more than $1000 for their domain unless you own some one or two word highly generic ultra premium domain; right?

Secondly, for all those who were successful in selling domains via Flippa Domain Catalog, what type of domains did you sell for low-mid-high xxx range?

1. Domain length (in characters)
2. How many words were in that domain (two, three, four)
3. Were those brandable domains, keyword domains or generic two word domains?
4. What was the domain extension?

Good day,
