I have a question. There is a no-reserve auction currently running on Flippa. I know someone that I'm 90% sure would be ready to buy this domain at much more than what the auction will probably end at.

Can I possibly buy the domain for him on Flippa and then start a broker escrow transaction with the buyer and the seller, so I can get a "commission"?

I know it's weird, but is it technically possible? Do you have a suggestion for me?
I would recommend you reach out to the seller to get permission to broker on his/her behalf.

Ok I'll try to check with the seller if we can work something out.

By the way, can you check my 2 last messages in my ticket #272758?

Thanks.

"Portfolio of X" - depending on what X is, whether quantity, niche, etc ...Our CS team can assist in changing your title.

By title you mean Domain/URL field?

If I do a portfolio listing with domains I already have listed at Flippa should I remove or keep those domains lists? It looks like once you remove a domain you can't add back to marketplace.

There are no longer images / logos on the main results page.

If I understand your question correctly, it sounds like you want to post at auction a portfolio for sale - but the individual domains are listed in your (non-auction) portfolio as well.

You only need to remove these listings if and when they sell.

Once you remove a domain, you can absolutely add it back to the marketplace -- what gave you the idea you could not? If unclear, please reach out to our staff via [email protected]

@Jen-Sin Amount of followers on your account? I see lots of sellers with 100+ begin to pick up more traction. I recommend you send potential buyers links to your auctions or non-auction / portfolio listings and focus on outbound marketing efforts to increase followers. I also hope we as a platform can make it easier to 'watch' a seller (or follow them) and create more public links to everyone's portfolio, if they opt-in to have one (they can also keep their public URL quiet).

Is there a section on Flippa that will allow you to see how many people are watching someone's account or who exactly is watching someone's account?

As for the "who exactly" - no.

As for the counter, yes. That used to be part of one's dashboard, however there was a recent change that hid this counter. We're working on restoring it and making broader improvements, as Account Watchers (really seen as "Followers") are a major metric into one's account "health" and is generally a correlation to more sales. Inventory and pricing dependent, of course.

There are still logos in the main domain page. Bad to hear, anyway.

@FlippaDomains ,

Thanks for the great info so far.

Is there any way to see most active sellers?

Just received a first bid on my auction and it was accepted automatically :) Looks like I don't need to sit for hours waiting to accept a last minute bid :)

How do you make changes to the Flippa landing pages? Can't you custom the text and the BIN?

Has anyone had success with these for sale landing pages through Flippa?

They're not yet customer-editable, though I'm working with our team to deliver some improvements. It's lower on the chain, though, at moment.

Measured a few months back, the sales page was converting 40% more sales than if sellers were not using the page. Any redirect that pairs the domain with the point-of-sale opportunity for the buyer, whether via the sales page or just a general URL forward to the listing/auction, is going to yield better results.

Should be a higher priority. If you made customization possible a lot of people would switch to using Flippa landers.

I'm not sure this is the right place but after 12 transactions and 100% outstanding positive feedback why do Flippa still have the guilty until proven innocent policy? Do the staff there lack common sense?

I also keep having trouble with the staff getting involved in my auctions, they once got involved in a sale completion area conversation between me and a buyer and almost cost me the sale, luckily the buyer knew me and so we went ahead with the transaction but I didn't get much of an apology from them.

I really hope something better comes along that works because Flippa is all over the place.

You have negative feedback?

What do you think needs to be improved? Besides employees not getting into transactions which are going smoothly?

Their customer service is good. Try to reach them through mail instead of conversation area.

Learned the hard way, don't use PayPal on Flippa. Buyer got suspended during sales completion, now is banned. Asked support and was told it was fine to go through with transaction. A#!hole filed complaint.

So don't use PP or deal with suspended members. The policy should be more clear.
