Unless you have a great domain or are selling a group of names flippa doesn't work and even then you need to buy upgrades to have your listing seen. There are currently 1643168 listings on flippa, so you definately need to throw some money towards your listing to get exposure.

Looks like nice action at flippa, gotta find my old account and start posting some domains.

Any recommendation whether I should bulk related domains or sell them separately?

@dataman List them here and we can run a clinic, or PM and we can discuss. Can't help unless we know the domains and asking prices. We're expanding our brokerage and marketplace management process. Soon there will be more people to assist...

Regarding sending id and selfie holding the id are normal security precautions by any standard company who wants the security measures as their priority...(but company should secure our information we provided..no leakage of user details)...with Flippa.com,DN.com,eSCROW.com and paypal u wont find any difficulties..

Thanks. Sounds like that is what PromisePay (aka Flippa Escrow) is sticking to. To be clear, we are not them and they are not us; we utilize their services. They have top-notch security and if you want to know or understand more, always reach out to [email protected].

As for more-prominently displaying the rules and regs (aside from just the ToS checkbox upon signup, which does state that ID verification may be requested), I am working on that. If someone does not want to send in the requested info, then they shouldn't use the service; but ultimately that information is not always known ahead of time. We'll do better to provide that upfront.

Do Domain Holdings brokers get automatic listing upgrades?

Not for every listing, just the premium inventory. We will be changing this, though. Big updates to upgrades coming soon. We're aiming to announce early in December.

i have had no success on flippa....i won't use it again

Would like to know what you attempted to sell. Feel free to share.

Well various domains, i think it has a lot to do with the labelling of 'new' members. I realise it is for security purposes but it doesn't help new members to get started. I joined 3 forums so far and sold 10 domains in less than 4 weeks, and it only cost me a fixed monthly fee and I am still interacting with the people who bought from me via social media. I think forums are much more 'open' you can negotiate and even connect with people. i also had fairly good sales at 4.cn, but it is not cheap. I am sure that Flippa is working for a lot of people.

It is imperative to keep trying - to get that "runway" and to build up followers. That is the most important thing, unless you're masterful at outbound / marketing. But I know quite a few sellers that have built up an incredible arsenal of watchers / buyers, and each time they deploy an auction, dozens or even hundred+ of potential bidders take notice.

I agree that it's daunting to work for +/- months to get to this point, but it is quite possible. If you ever want to work with us to specify which of your assets may be good for auction, or for our free listing section, please get in touch anytime...

I actually did not realize this was the case - I thought it did show BIN; let me look into this...
Any update on this? Having a BIN price set on a landing page is likely to make people want to use this service more.

Also, if I read correctly somewhere, BIN on Flippa is not a "real" BIN, but rather a kind that must be approved by a seller before buyer can proceed with payment. If that is indeed true, Flippa should have that step removed so that buyer doesn't have to wait hours, or sometimes even days for things to move ahead. Sales can be easily lost that way, IMHO.

Paying upfront fee makes it difficult to use Flippa when almost no possibility of getting bids for your listing in the 100k listing environment.. I have placed there LLLL.com domain with $1 auction start paying upfront fee and put reserve price and no success of getting any bids with default configuration.

Wouldn't it better if you would make it same like Godaddy, no listing fee with no reserve and only if you wanna add reserve then you pay.. This also solves the problem which was occurring free unlimited re-listing problem.. Because no reserve auction will be finalized in the first try. And when you think about free listing with no reserve rule is more into Auction logic would make more sense and turns your platform great place for auctioning.

On the other hand, consider all this LLLL trend of domaining we have many more domains with lower than $100 value and paying upfront fee for low value domains is impossible..Even Godaddy and Sedo has no sense in this climate because of min charge of sales is too high.. Flippa can definitely make difference and use opportunity if plays smart.

It's free to list a domain as a classified in your Flippa portfolio catalog.

The upfront listing fee is only for auctions, and currently there are less than 6k live domain auctions.

Flippa has also recently removed the unlimited free relists.

Innovative things are needed on flippa like a forum or Discussion platform on Flippa.

I might have said it wrong but anyway consider my words as "free Auction Listing".. why would i need to pay money for auction listing when there is no bids or no sale? And imagine that having portfolio of 1000 domains will need to pay $9 listing fee.. who would do that?.. And that classified listing which is for free under your portfolio is no different than having your website with the domains on it. Why would i need to list on Flippa and pay %10 success fee which nobody cant find them.
it's useless platform for LLLL trend.

What types of domains are selling well on Flippa lately? Anyone notice any trends or have any insight to share?

Has any seller outside US or Australia tried receiving payment via wire using Flippa Escrow?

I like to know your experience on the currency and amount received.

@FlippaDomains, what is a good number of followers to build up to see some impact?

Can cost some $40 in Europe, depending on the bank

$40 for inward wire (TT) fee charged by your bank or $40 on top of the inward wire (TT) fee? And do you received your money in USD or in your local currency?

$40 or sligntly more loss from the selling price, in USD.

If I had selected to receive the payment in the local currency, they could be even more loss from the conversion rate.

Maybe my query wasn't clear.

Let me try rephrasing it again:

For your US$40 loss, does this include the $25 wire fee charged by Flippa Escrow and/or the inward international wire fee charged by your (beneficiary) bank?
