I have experienced that FLIPPA bids get dissapointing prices for 4 letter.coms. I have recorded $250/400
is the norm recently. I tested the water and put one of my 4 letter doms on: BUNH.com and it didn't reach
the reserve I had set at $500.

Yet Afternic & Sedo get me great prices. I sold a 4 letter (no vowel) for $1K recently.

Anyone else have an experience with flippa prices?

I hope that included the letter v or you left about $1000 on the table...

Well, you're comparing a non-Chip to a Chip. And the Chip you sold at Sedo was only for 1K? As David pointed out, you undersold that about $1,000. That's not "great prices", for you at least.

I wouldn't call $1000 a great price for an LLLL.com without aeiouv, unless you're the buyer that is.

You should get about $2k. Today's rate is 13480 Yuan, or $2058.

u get less if you set reserve. it's proven fact.

otherwise, flippa gets pretty much averages like elsehwere.. godaddy etc.. as far as quick peek told me.. at:

What was the domain you sold, if it did not have A E I O U or V in it, you got 50% of the floor price pretty much, which would be a disaster minus commissions.

bpck.com sold at $200.64 1/27/2008 Ebay

well done you made $650 USD profit

that s 300% in 8 years

a real estate investment would not have given that to you
or would it - ok - then you done equally well

next 4l.com you please offer me first ;)

Well $1000 for that domain you sold was under valued, but you still made a good return at 300%. Best of luck and welcome to domaining.
