Hey guys
just wondering about that , I bought an auction for 9$ , it ended unsold , i usually relist it for free
but I didn't see that option , they offer me relisting it for half the price , they usually do that after the 2ed listing

so they cancelled this for all users , or should i write to them ?

thanks

I'd say Flippa isn't worth it for most. Better off using another place for less money or zero.

Not a lot of them really. eBay is one but you probably won't get much action unless you know how to market it outside of the site. Obviously you have Afternic / Sedo / Uni / GD. I guess my point is in most cases it's a waste $9 unless you have a decent name... and in that case you don't really need Flippa to actually sell it.

And to add to the comment below, yes NP is a super obvious one but mostly resellers looking for bargains so you won't get rich here (well, maybe if you're lucky.) :xf.cool:

NamePros.com.. have been selling domains here for a year.. but crap domains will sell for crap prices or won't sell at all, keep that in mind.

That's one option that's pretty much understood. I think the question I asked "implied" options other than NP.

any more?

I'm seriously considering just creating my own eBay clone eliminating the need to pay a commission to the auction provider.

Kinda like dn.properties

Any generic eBay clone will do. Then just pay the usual "suspects" for featured ads like Namebio,namepros,domaining.com, dnjournal, and all thee other top domain sites.

Eliminating the cost of commission can cover the cost of promotion of your Diy auctions .

Promotion is a necessary evil anyways.

But commissions don't have to be.

And it wouldn't hurt to pay for a press release for your eBay clone site for domains.

I'd love to create competition for Flippa. However it takes a lot of money and time. I'd rather use that for something bigger.

Oh wasn't implying creating competition for flippa. But more about saving a buck here or there and having more control over you sales.

Commissions to these marketplaces really eat into your profits.

So why not eliminate it?

Another thing too is if you really must use these marketplaces why not just pay for featureds on these sites like flippa or gd or sedo and set your listings as make offer and just make sure your domains are pointed to your eBay clone site where your domain is listed?

Best of both worlds. The benefit of advertising on huge marketplaces but minus the commission to "the house"

You should check out htmlpie. Creates domain sales landing pages plus has an auction feature .

Really very close to taking the plunge on it. Just been very busy with the holidays and all.

Me too, I just realized when I read your thread... last time I relist was 6 months ago. Did you message them?

Yeah I have a few ideas I'm floating around. I've been doing side projects that have distracted me from domaining full time. But now things are getting lined up to do something a little bigger in this field.

You should see - Ramped.com
First 3 listings are free. But they only accept quality names.

I just mailed them , waiting for their response ,

guys , I've been here for about 9 months , haven't made that sales , However , have sold 8 domains on Flippa with 750$ in total

so I think you have a better chance for selling there

for GD , unfortunately I can't use it for selling for some reasons , (they don't support paypal for my country)
SEDO is very expensive for me , 59$ for an auction !

that keeps flippa the number 1 for me as a beginner

will keep you updated if I got any response from them

Thanks all for your help

I had an auction end on Flippa today. I just relisted it for free with no dramas. However I noticed there success fee is now 15% not 10%? I wasn't aware they changed it.

Could you tell me where can I find the Relist button? Thanks

I went into Dashboard, then under Finished Listings I clicked the domain name. Then there was an option to "Relist your Auction free"
