How Many Days Would You Recommend an Auction to Run on Flippa & GoDaddy?

I'm currently running auctions I've listed on Flippa & GoDaddy for 7 days each based on the fact that a Godaddy Tech told me that potential bidders don't bid on anything until there are 7 days or less till the auction ends. In the case of Godaddy there is no listing charge so I can relist unsold domains after 7 days and start the process again. In the case of Flippa it would be quite expensive to relist unsold domains for a 1 week listing every week.

How many days do you list an item for on Flippa & Godaddy? Thanks for your input.

For GoDaddy go a bit shorter (i.e. maybe 5 day auctions) because its free and you can always repeat the process at very little cost. For Flippa go a bit longer (i.e. maybe 10 day auctions) so you get more exposure for your money. Another thing to do is to split test various listing times and see what works best for you and your purposes. The content of the listing will play a huge role in how listing does regardless of time interval also so that is something to consider as well.

5 day auction at GD? Where is that at, I only see an option for 7 days.

GoDaddy's options are make offer, set a BIN, or 7 day auction.

And yes, you typically don't see a lot of action until there are fewer days remaining, or even day of. People don't want to start bidding too early, and bringing in unneeded attention for domains they hope they can get under the radar relatively cheap.
