Hi Mike,

generally too simplistic of a design for a poetry site. I agree, your poems should do most of the talking and deliver the "message". However, i think you should consider some visual stimuli that changes per poem and creates a visually equal flow as your poems do through words. You could play with the backdrop colors, with images that accompany the words and even matching background music. This would eventually round off the total experience.

Right, i'll try to think of a way to make each poems page more unique, and specific to that poem.
I'll also make an RSS feed for updates.

There's nothing particularly wrong with a simple theme, but I echo Intel's concern. One or two images would suffice; not a lot is needed. My suggestion would be to have your favorite/latest poem showing on the main page, include a header image, and then beside the poem have a small image that relates to it. Perhaps a cut-out of a rose or something like that [if it's too cliche].
