I sold my first domain on Sedo during the week.
I got a £50 ($70) offer for my name s1insurance.co.uk so I decided to accept it rather than counter and scare them off. I had only registered it for £6 so I thought it was a good enough sale. What does everyone think? Was it a good sale or could I have gotten more?
Thanks.

Unless "S1" is something significant in the UK, I think you got a good price.

Why not send it to auction?

Congrats on your first domain sale!

The only thing you should know is SEDO charges you $60 commission fee.

Edited: lol, I mistakenly typed Paypal, it's SEDO charges you. Sorry. Please refer to Tribulatio's #10 post

:)

A $60 commission fee? What are you talking about? I hope that was a joke. :p

Isn't it Sedo that charges the fee?

Edit: Sedo link was posted above ;)

That's what he meant, I'd assume so anyway.

Unless it is parked with Sedo: then only the 10% commission rate applies, as explained at the bottom of Sedo's page:
"No minimum fee if the domain is parked with Sedo; only the flat 10% rate applies."

I would have to agree, I think it was a great price for it.

Hi guys thanks for all of your replies. Sedo charged me £5 so I get £45. S1 is a company in the UK specialising in jobs and other categories. I made the mistake of making a possible tm issue as I was inexperienced. So I am quite pleased with it. Although I still have s1loans.co.uk! lol

I didn't think it was a good enough name to risk auction!
