Hi there domainers,

i'm the owner of youbotox(.)com and I've listed it in some auctions.
I have just received an e-mail from a consulting company offering to buy my domain. As I have never sold a domain before, is there the possibility of it being a fraud? Is e-mails a common way to contact byers-sellers or should I be careful? Thank you and if you think you have spare time take a look here http://www.namepros.com/domain-appraisals/394339-please-appraise-my-first-domain.html
and give my domain an appraisal giving me an idea of what the sell price should be about!

I appreciate your help

it depends what kind of email it is. there are lots of emails people getting from "consulting companies" or from somebody, who is NOT in domain business, who wants you to appraise domain in certain place, that "he trust". you put your domain for appraisal there, and "buyer" disappear. So be careful, and for name like that i would use sedo or escrow, just to protect a name from fraud.

Beware of the appraisal scam!

If you are not familiar with it just search for it here on NPs, you will probably see the exact same wording in the email you have received.

Thank you all, domain fraud seems to be more and more common these days unfortunately.
