First domain parking experience at Why Park

OK - I have the following situation:
1. I have this domain, www.indonesianightlife.net. Its' been dormant for a few months.
2. I got exposed to the domain world thanks to an article at dnjournal.com 2 days ago; I joined namepros 1 day.
3. Read all the threads starting from the noobs forum all the way to domain monetisation for the past 12 hours. I have a stinging headache now.
4. I want to park my domain at Whypark but learnt that their cost is 99.95 one time fee for up to 100 domains. Now, I only have 3 domains so far, and one that I think would be most potential to generate type in traffic is www.indonesianightlife.net
5. My question is how do I determine, if at all possible, potential traffic for the site - hence parking revenue that I will generate?
6. If you have such a URL, how do yo go step by step to decide if ever you wanna join Why Park.
7. Of course, if the monetisation is promising, I'll be more than happy to buy more domains like that.

Well, to determine whether your domain has traffic, you need to park it, and evaluate the stats. If your domain has traffic, and you park it at Whypark, they use Adsense as one of their revenue models, you can use google adwords tool to figure out how much revenue you might generate with Whypark.

for me i have two ways for generate traffic...

1. use feed and build some page for domain than when its enough traffic park it!
2. use other site than make link to our park pages..

but beware some parking company doesnt allowed that

Contact Whypark and see if they will give you a "trial account". They gave me one and I was able to park one domain with them as a test. For me, I didn't get much benefit so I did not sign up for the full account.

If you site has been dormant, then I assume it's getting little if any traffic? If it's not getting traffic then it doesn't really matter when you have it. But if you put a site on it or use Whypark(which is really the same idea) then you may start to get traffic more and more as the site is found and indexed by search engines.

Your other choices are to park the domain with someone like Imonetize which is easy for beginners, or to get some cheap hosting from a place like Lacehost.com and put up one or more pages. Once you have something on the domain you can see what traffic it is getting and then decide what to do next.

I would not use Whypark at this point. I could be wrong but I don't see your keywords generating all that many articles.

Thanks all for the responses.

It's been dormant, because I don't have time to develop it, so I thought if the 99.95 one time payment fee is worth it then I'd consider paying; and buy more domains even if I don't have time to develop it .. call it investing if you like.

Man, I feel I'm so behind, how long have you guys been into this.

I am just afraid that, if you are looking for content, the automatically generated content from WP wouldn't deliver what you expect for such a name. Domainerx is entirely right.

Moreover, if it is just for 1 (or 2, or 3) domains, WP does not really make sense.

But since you have obviously the possibility to host somewhere, you might buy a minisite from http://www.ppc-sites.com: it would cost you only 20$, you would have targeted (alhtough by no way unique) content - and then, with an AdSense account, you could easily assess how much money can be done form it through traffic - although you will need to do some work to build it. And if no money at all is generated... well, you might at least have not lost much!

Re natural traffic: since you have hosted a temporary page somewhere, you should be able to see how much traffic comes to it. Little or none, I would presume

Provided you can get an AdSense feed, a small site is obviously the way to go.
