Hi,

I would like some reviews on my filehosting-project.
The page is currently located at http://fileho.st/dev, and it is _only_ the design I want critic on as there are no functionality at all right now. If you find some bugs, please include wich browser you are using and resolution on screen.

Also, would be nice to hear your opinions on wich functions should be added in the future.

Thanks!
Mattias

Looks great. Clean, crisp and the DN hack is self explanatory as well.
If you add multi upload in a smaller container below the main container, while keeping the same shape, you'd have a great looking advanced file uploader.

Hmmm...I must not be too bright because the first thing I saw was fileho and no other information on the page. I kept looking around the page to see what a file ho was but the page was really bare. Maybe the domain hack would stand out better if you removed the Beta Sticker from in front of .ST?

Also on top of the box adding the word help right after "register | login" would be great for people who aren't sure why they should do either. Last, perhaps you could design a cute little sticker somewhere stating a one line sales pitch telling Noobs what a file host is and why they need one. People tend to be impatient and want their info quicker. If they don't see a immediate use for filehost they may just leave the page.

PS I really liked your clean and simple design!

I have removed the beta-sticker from infront of the logo and put another picture in the top left corner of the page. Will this be better in your opinion?

I think you should just remove the beta label altogether. I really dislike people littering their sites with "beta" this "beta" that, it is just ugly.

Also maybe change the Blog/terms/faq to a smaller font or edit the css and change the active link color. The orange of the beta, the blue of the links and the green/yellow below just all clashes.

But thats just my .02. :tu:

Looks great, all I could suggest is make it look nicer where it says "supported file types: png, jpg, jpeg, gif, bmp" maybe a different font, sort of boring.

Looks nice, really simple. I suggest removing the 'BETA' image in the left hand corner. The browse and submit buttons don't seem to fit perfectly on that background pattern. Love the name!

I see your point. But my thought were that I should build the site on the opinion of the visitors. So I was thinking, somehow announcing that the site is not finished, and then set up an email called [email protected] or something and letting people send in their suggestions.

I know, they were just stirred together in a quickie, they are supposed to be replaced :)

Looks very clean. I really like the beta logo in the corner, much better then it was before when I took a quick look.

The "supported file types: png, jpg, jpeg, gif, bmp" looks a little bit out of place. Maybe bold it and make it a little smaller?

I'm no designer but it looks nice so far. Great start!
