File transfer speed

Hi,

I just got a new pen drive and i have been reading some reviews saying its unbearably slow. So i transferred a 700MB file over to it and it took about 2 minutes. Is that a good speed or should it be faster over USB 2?

I have a Cruzer Micro in case anyone wondered.

Thanks
Matt

Hell if i know lol, i would not call it slow for what i want, i was more interested in what you would call a decent file transfer speed to a pen drive. (I know nothing like this, mainly because i normally couldn't care lol!)

I was just wondering since i read most people seem think it's extremely slow.

Personally if it can do a word document I'm sorted :hehe:

that speed is perfectly fine :)

i transfer stuff from my pc down stairs to my one upstairs via a usb pen. the pc downstairs is oldish, has usb 1.1. takes about 30 mins to copy 900 mb over :( then about 3 mins on my upstairs pc.

really annoying!

Good to know :D

It may have been since i removed the U3 from it. I noticed it changed File system from RAW to FAT in the process.

Does anyone really use U3? I don't have a use for it tbh.

It's an alright speed, for a USB. I remember about a year ago when I transfered a bunch of files from a computer to another computer over lan, I was getting about 4-5mbps, but then again that's a computer and not a USB.
