Feedback needed for new site design...

Well, after months of trying to get my son's site up and going, my hubby finally had someone do it for me and I wanted to get the members of my favorite forum to let me know what they think and how they feel it could be made better!

The intro is decent, but ouch. Please tell me you didn't pay over $100, otherwise I could have made it for cheaper and better. And by the way, thanks for telling me...

Love the flash splash (:P) at the screen. It would be cool if the main page could be loaded as well, because it seems sorta cut off right now:just preload the images before starting the flash (or during the flash).

The main content could be a bit bigger, as it is main content! Otherwise, great site!

The graphics are nice, but in the end it's only a customised template which doesn't require a lot of work to pull off.

Yeah, I know it is fairly plain in respects to the design, but it definitely is a huge upgrade from what the site was previously. I know nothing (hardly nothing anyway) about web design myself, but if I did I could design the site with the vision I have in my mind, which is awesome! But of course I can't so I am grateful to the help I have been given thus far. Who knows, maybe one day I will learn enough about design to bring my ideas/visions to life!

I am just learning how to edit the site, and I am not familiar at all with php so it is a task for me to do the basic stuff, much less edit or change anything concerning the flash intro and all, lol, I wouldn't know where to begin! But I will work on making things better, it will just take some time.

P.S. CompGeek, it was done as a favor and really is only temp. until I can afford to have what I want done to be done, no offense to you was intended at all. The site I want and have in mind I am sure would be costly and at this time I can't afford to have it done, and what I had accomplished on the site looked pitiful, so someone offered to throw something decent looking up, so I accepted. I wouldn't want to take advantage of anyone's talents and not be able to compensate them fully for their work. Maybe in the near future I can afford such services and find the talent I need to get the site done the way I want.

has sort of a dark look to it, dont know if you wanted that or not. Its a nice layout, background has great texture.

I know, I am attempting to learn how to work in phpp and all that (it is Greek to me) but it is a slow process. You gotta start somewhere! I am hoping to learn enough to add some "spice" to the site, may take a while but I'll get there. Thanks for the input, I will definitely work on improvements!

w3 schools is a great place to learn PHP. I was just over there yesterday looking some things up and I was pleased at how much they had for beginners and advanced users.
