Featured at Sedo?

Can anyone tell me how long it takes for a domain name to show up in the "featured domains" section, once you've made your payment?

And... has anyone that has used the "featured domain" option found it useful/helpful, or just a waste of $40?

Did you at least make make your investment back , in other words?

$40 to be featured
$50 min comission to sedo.

If the domain is worth $300-$400 it coul;t be worth it

FYI...
Just don't register it on a Friday because it will not be listed until Monday along with a bunch of others who also register on Friday.
I have done that and my listing was on the main page for half a day. Not worth the $40 eventhough the money was from domain parking.

yea I've read several things about it not being worth it, because the listing isn't on long enough and the fact that the price is fairly big to begin with.

What!!! Really? I thought this service was for 30 full days...

That's what I bought... a 30 day featured listing... it's up now, by the way. I thought it would at least appear on the home page... but it's only at the head of the adult listings

I'm not sure I'll do this again... but I will keep you all posted as to how I make out during the 30 day period.

Hey... they should say then "we list your domain for 5 days or for 5 hours" and not write about a "30 day featured listing". This is their problem not ours!

it IS featured for 30 days, but only the newest ones are listed on the homepage. The rest get listed on the inner pagse

Its worded so that it's easy to be confused as to the length it will appear on the homepage.

BTW, what domain did you list?

I'm currently showcasing FreePorn.cc - I picked the domain that had the highest $/click in the bunch.

All of my naughty names do best

Unfortunately, it didn't sell. The worst part is that the domain that I showcased didn't get any more hits then it usually does. It was a total waste of time and money IMHO. I hope others have had better luck. I know I won't use that service again.

Perhaps the service might be more successful with non-adult names. I thought I read somewhere that featured domains will NOT be shown on the homepage if they are adult related. If that's the case, it definitely seems not worth it to use the service for an adult listing.
