Favorite Energy Drink?

I saw the thread about favorite sodas and wondered: do you drink energy drinks? What's your favorite energy drink and why?

I sometimes prefer energy drinks as a pick-me-up over plain sodas but it's been hard to find one that does the job plus has an appealing taste. I also don't care to spend $3+ for a single energy drink.

I prefer something citrus flavored with at least 100mg of caffeine or more. Tried 5 Hour Energy but those can be bitter and I like a larger drink with carbonation.

Let's hear some of your favorites..

Just can not beat redbull. Its top of the line. Plus in most cases its cheaper than the larger rock stars or monster. Which would be my second and third choices. Anything other than those 3 are just posers IMO. Well AMP could prolly pass but its not the best.

I dig the regular Monster, if you like citrus type drinks Dave try Monster Khaos, at the bar which is a rare occurrence these days I do Vodka & Red Bull.

still got 23 in my fridge, had 24 but got desperate one night and cracked one open, wasn't crazy about the throat numbing but I was holding them more as a collector item due to the ban on them. :hehe:

There are a few places locally that still have them at $3-$4 a can.. I have a few empties that I kept for nostalgia's sake but I like the Cocaine brand as well.

I used to swear by V but now I've adapted to Rockstar, V & Mother now and then.


Rockstar is great because it's not just caffiene, it's got vitamens :tu:

I use to like Lucozade NRG, but not sure if they still make it because not seen it for years, I use to always drink a bottle or two when I was feeling hungover in the morning lol. When I played a lot of sports I use to drink IsoStar, which I prepared before a game (it came as a powder and you had to mix it up before hand)

Lots of interesting answers.. seems some of you prefer the 100% natural route!

I expected to see alot of coffee drinkers reply and didn't. Most probably don't think of it as an energy drink tho. I prefer tea myself and used to drink as many as 6-7 cups of hot tea a day.

At this point, I've been trying alot of the generic energy drinks. Still haven't found one i particularly care for taste wise.
