I can not tolerate caffeine well, It makes me a bit shaky and nervous.

So i tried 5 Hour Energy Decaf, not totally caffeine free, but only 6mg, about as much as a half cup of decaf coffee or Hershey candy bar.

I have obstructive sleep apnea, and just have been on a CPAP machine a little over a month now, The sleep apnea had me tired and drained feeling the majority of the time, I never hit realm sleep in my sleep studies. the doctor told me i was getting an equivalent to a 2 hour nap per day, that being every day.

Ok,,,, so i saw the 5 hour energy decaf at a little store, I bought it, figuring what the heck.

I must say, this is a kickass answer for me! It didn't give me a so called boost so to speak, but it woke my brain up thoroughly, my memory and alertness is 110% better. It took about 20 minutes for me to feel the difference, but once it kicked in, it was a ray of sunshine.

The draw back is cost, at $2.99 a 2oz bottle, but even at that, for what it gives me, it well worth it. I have now bought a case of it, and drink the 2oz shot daily.

Any one else have any experiences with this shot, Decaf or with Caffeine????

I didn't like the taste of it.

I've got a high tolerance for caffeine, so I am a heavy coffee, tea and energy drink drinker.

The taste is not great to me, but not horrible either, and it only being a 2oz shot, i usually chase it with a drink of Dr,Pepper or something. the benifits it has givin me are almost a miracle. being in a confused and dazed trance of fog most of the time sucks, although not a body boost, at least not in my case, The ability to think clearly and remember things very well, aswell as having a wide awake brain, just rocks for me.

I had that on my mind after i bought it, but have never had any problem with stomach aches, cramps, or even discomfort, and no quick trips to the bathroom.

This is the result of the energy drink doing what it was made to do... Quick absorption. :P

Your body processes it faster, and that means the bathroom more often.

I've heard good things about 5 hour energy. Although I guess if you had it too often you'd become immune to its effects. :P

I'd probably fall down without my coffee,
I've been drinking it for so long I'd be lost ...
can you say "caffeine addiction"

Is there a big difference in the caffeine rush between
the 5 hour shot and a cup of coffee?

I am a heavy coffee drinker, at least 20 a day...no joke!
Ironically, I don't have any trouble getting to sleep ;)
That's all I drink, no pop, no juice, no milk - no gatorade (yuck)
never found anything that tastes like my coffee! :hearts:

The other day i tried a Mountain Dew with it, just to see, and i had no different results. a little nervousness from the Mountain Dew, but that is all.

I wish i could withstand your caffeine intake, even 1/4 of it would be great

The 5 hour energy has 6mg of caffeine per 2 ounce shot. Regular drip coffee has over 100mg of caffeine per 8 ounce.

I can't live without 8-15 coffee's a day, sometimes more and I run on 4-5 hrs sleep a night.

I'm the poster child for all things bad unfortunately, as my whole body runs on mainly caffeine and nicotine.

Can't let too much blood get into my ine stream.

Its also the amount of sugar in many of these drinks, this can have the effect of loosening things up down that end.
