Is there a way to approve a fast transfer of a domain out of AlpNames? I couldn't figure out how to do it.

------

AlpNames Limited received notification on Saturday, Apr 29, 2017 that you have requested a transfer to **** for ******.com. If you want to proceed with this transfer, you do not need to respond to this message. If you wish to cancel the transfer, please click on the below link before Thursday, May 4, 2017:

When transferring away from another PDR reseller, I tried to hack the link and change the transferaway response to "Yes" but I never got it to work

Sometimes the email gives a link that says it will be a rejection, then actually they give you a choice to approve or reject, yet I don't want to accidentally trigger a rejection

Best way is start a ticket and they will expedite for you, and then we can ask them if there is a way for us to do it manually @AlpNames

We don't believe in shady practices!!! In fact, we often receive requests to expedite transfer outs and, if it's in our power to do so, we will always help.

To be clear, we do NOT charge a transfer out fee.

Last time I clicked on a link that said this, it canceled the transfer without any other input to verify. I at least expected a "Are You Sure" message but on that time. The reason I clicked on it: at least 3 other registrars I use send emails saying the same thing but then gave an "Authorzie" or "Cancel" choice. lesson learned the hard way, Not all registrars are equal.

Via LiveChat or email you may ask them - and they will release your domain...
I did that many times.

Regarding emails which are generated by LogicBoxes panel - such option is absent there, only cancellation is possible.

I submitted a quaestion to them on Friday asking about fast transfer.
I have not received a response yet. I just (now) used their live chat (offline) to submit a request. Hopefully it will work.

I used live chat also, They said they could not do it with Live Chat because anyone could be chatting with them claiming to be me (the registered owner). They said they would send an email to the contact email address and that I could reply to it for the fast transfer. Never got the email. so now I have learned to be patient:'(

@AlpNames I just remembered you were here. Can you chime in? What is the best method to get a domain transferred quickly?

@CJ6 - my guess would be by now it would have transferred the slow way, correct? Did it get sped up at all and/or did you ever hear back from support?

When I want to expedite at name.com I send the ticket as soon as I confirm the transfer approve emails, they tend to be slow as molasses support. Maybe that is the best plan for the future with Alp unless they have a better and more efficient way they will share here.

Now I wanna find a transfer I can do away from Alp just to test : smile :

I was never able to speed it up. I never received a reply.
My domains should get transferred today, but have not yet transferred.

On name.com, after you submit for a transfer, go to that domain (on name.com) and it will let you know that you have a pending transfer. You can approve it and it gets transferred quickly. I have been able to manually approve a transfer a few minutes after starting it.

Mine have all transferred at midnight on the last day. They take as long as they can just in case I want to cancel the transfer. Guess they don't know that if I didn't want to transfer, I wouldn't have unlocked the domain

I got this from @AlpNames :

Hi gblasting,

Thank you for contacting AlpNames Customer Support.

Unfortunately as we are a reseller for PDR in .com we do not have this access to approve the transfer.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any other questions.

Sincerely,

AlpNames Customer Support

Fast transfer out is not possible on AlpNames, even when you contact their support. :(

Update: I mailed support back after the email above asking if there is a way to get PDR to approve the transfer and got a mail few minutes later that the transfer has been completed. I started the transfer yesterday and it completed today.

So, fast transfer works on @AlpNames when you contact support. :)
