Good question. As i haven't tried any others i can't really comment on differences.
It's a very dynamic environment that's driving gray hair on my head at times, especially when i think that i've just found out how to re-invent the investment wheel, just to find out that said wheel is rolling backwards...

ah, to be honest, if this is just a stock market game, which follows the real stock market, and gives you $xxx dollars, then theres no difference unless its faster or something! or looks pretty

100k starting capital, results are taken directly from Wall Street just displayed with the legally applicable time delay. Trades execute immediately, given that there's stock available. UI is intuitive = looking acceptably pretty.
At each end of the month, the person that generated the most cash throughout the month wins $25k real cash, daily trade incentives, etc.
I'm not sure how that compares to any other Fantasy Trading game, though...
