Dean Koontz (pyschological thriller writer) is coming out with a new book called, Odd Brother. It appears Random House, the publisher of the book is using a .TV site name to promote the book visa via "Video Clips" - http://www.oddthomas.tv/ Saw the ad for the book in the USA Today newspaper.
Random House is by far the largest book publisher in the US and possibly the world. For them to use a .tv domain name to promote the book is huge. I think it's also a signal as to how .tv is going to be used in some circles. In that "video" clips are comparable to content found on TV, hence the reason for dot tv.
