FamilyAlbum.com - Domain yanked from owner for inaccurate Whois info!!!?

Hey all,

Sorry of this was already mentioned. Did a quick search for it on the forum and found nothing so I decided to post it...

I just heard on another forum that the person who owns FamilyAlbum.com lost that domain because they were not using accurate whois information.

I have no idea if this is actually true, but I thought I'd run it buy you all anyway.

And guess who the registrar is? Yup!! Godaddy! This should not be a surprise, though, right?

Does this mean that everyone needs to go and make sure all their domains have accurate whois info? Naw. THere's no way that ICANN could ever really enforce this rule en mass. However, if you have any domains registered through Godaddy, I would definitely make sure your whois info is accurate. Godaddy has a reputation for being a very Hitler-like registrar who does not think twice about screwing it's own customers for no really good reason, only on a whim.

Just a heads up. And if this whole thing about FamilyAlbum.com is just a rumor that is not true, I'd love to know.
