What exactly were they trying to achieve with this?
I doubt they were targeting procrastinating genealogy enthusiasts.
Memo to Lowe's:
An obviously Christian symbol by any other name is still an obviously Christian symbol.
Whether offensive or not, calling a picture of a Christmas tree something else is clearly pointless.

P.P.S. Just to pre-empt presumptions of ignorance, I do realize that the Christmas tree wasn't always a Christian symbol, and that not all Christians like it - due to Jeremiah 10:1-5 or not.
