Folks

3 days ago i registered 2 facebook typo domains and parked at sedo.

stats (3days):

visits : 130
Clicks : 14
Eranings : 0.26eur ( average 0.02eur a click)
Keywords : facebook,dating,web cam,chat, social network

Is this stats reasonable ? what can i do to tune up the earnings per click further.

Expecting your valuable advise :(

subject Trademark Complaint

We are writing to inform you that Sedo has received a complaint of potential trademark infringement regarding the use of the following domain names in conjunction with Sedo servic.

xxxxfacebook.com
xxxxfacebook.com

.........,due to the potential of infringement of a famous mark Sedo must do the following:

- Suspend the domain name from our domain marketplace
- Suspend the domain name from our parking program

:|

Now should i delete those two domains which gets a very resonable traffic or should i develp a mini site with a diffrent catagory?
pls advise.

What kind of question is this?? let me ask you one thing.....if you get a ticket for speeding more then 50 miles over the top what was allowed in a 25 miles restricted area like a school, are you going to ask the cop "can i just start over driving trough here(speed limit 25) and you won't give me a ticket???

Just get it, TM infringement is TM infringement, there is no "wiggle" out for you, no matter what you try.....and i think just for trying it.... i think you deserve to be "served"!!

Cheers

build a mini site.

Snicksnack, i believe you are way too long in the domain biz (and domain wise educated) to give a cyber-squatter this kind of advice???

Cheers

He wants to know how to monetize the domain, so I simply pointed out how to monetize it. If the domain infringes on a trademark or not is not up to me to decide. I believe the user has received plenty of advice on the TM issues already and it is up to him to decide which way to go.

Folks,

by keeping your valuable advises in mind, i thought of another try for some days since i am not bother about the reg fee (1.17$ x 2 at godaddy soccer promo). since the two domains get very good traffic, ill redirect them to one of my sites which is no way related to dating or social network. not at all :)

You still don't get it do you ?
I assume that you also trade in domain names ?
Whichever way you use these domains, you are STEALING traffic from facebook. Your intent is now indexed in google, via this thread. Facebook have all the proof they need to sue you. They are already monitoring the domains.
Many potential customers for your domains will list you as a cybersquatter and not want to deal with you.
If you constantly swim against the tide, eventually you will drown.

Well done.
A few bad $ will not make much difference to your life, but the feeling of knowing you are a good genuine person is priceless.

I've been watching this thread with interest and even thought about closing it, but it has turned out that some valuable lessons can be learned from it...especially any newbs that read it.

For all the people that pointed out the issues with this name...I give you props...well done. It's nice to see a conscience in domaining. For the OP, I'm glad you have taken the steps you have. It makes life easier for all of us when we repair any damage we do to the industry we are all involved in.

The three elements needed to prove your UDRP case are :- 1) Is the disputed domain confusingly similar to yours 2) Does the registrant have a legitimate interest in the name 3) Has the disputed domain been used in bad faith. Hope this is helpful, try for a refund. :D
