Expirefish failed backorders for a year.

I backordered two names at $20 a piece in 2003. When the service failed to acquire these, I substituted other names, but as with the first backorder attempts, the service failed. Then, frustrated with not getting any domains, I backordered just about anything that was dropping. During the remaining year, not once did I get anything; not even the domains that dropped and never got registered.

Anyone have any similar experiences with expirefish?

um, i have never used them but if you do a search you will find tons of topics about this, from reading posts i can say that they arnt a drop catcher, they just check every now and then to see if the domain is available and if it is then they register it for you

Afraid jroy is right - Their expired catcher really isn't even considered by most people any longer -

Seems most will have to jump on the Pool train now a days .... :(

Don't use it unless you are attempting a name that would NOT be a popular drop catch, but something you just want to pick up if no one else wants it. Not real useful at this point.

Isn't Go Daddy just as crummy for drops?
I'm liking Namewinner right nowfor being able to get the job done

Wooah! That's about as bad as it gets. That means that they are taking peoples money and providing no service, at all.

In fairness, I did pick up a few names at expirefish a few years ago when the only other service was namewinner and snapnames. I have not used them for about 2 years now though as the chances there are very very slim.
