Expired .com on Network Solutions

Hello All,

New here and apologies in advance if this is a basic question and wastes your time. Rest assured, I have been searching feverishly on this forum for answers and have found all kinds of conflicting information. In any cae, I appreciate any help you an offer and thank you in advance. I'll do my best to keep it brief:

1. There's a domain I want badly. Recently expired on Network Solutions (expired 4 days ago).

2. I believe this goes into auction after some sort of Grace Period

3. I believe Namjet is the exclusive partner. Does it mean that I simply backorder the domain on Namejet?

4. Are there any other steps I can take to ensure that I get the domain? I am willing to pay for it. Thanks.

One more question: I have heard all kinds of negative things about Namejet. Are there any tips/ warnings for dealing with them? Or is it standard procedure?
