Expediting domain transfers with Enom no longer works?

I used to be able to instantly approve transfers out of enom based registrars (namecheap,mydomain.com) but haven't been able to lately. I get the approval emails and approve them but still have to wait the 6 days or so for the transfer to complete. Has anyone else noticed this?

For me, it's always been pot luck if I received the emails or not and their timing. I thought MyDomain.com were a Dotster.com registrar, not eNom.com?

I have noticed this as well. In the past when you got the email and approved the transfer it used to happen shortly after, now it takes the full period even after approval.

Its unfortunate. I tend to avoid using registrars that don't allow instant approval. Waiting around for the transfer to finish when you made a sale sucks.

re:mydomain yeah they are dotster but it seems they all use the same enom backend.

Name.com will expedite the transfer if you email support and request it. Dynadot.com have been doing that too recently, but I'm not sure when that changed. If you decide to select Dynadot, I'd suggest you clarify that with them first. There are many other registrars which do this, but it isn't standard practice. I just mention these two because they are popular registrars. Of course there is always GoDaddy :) The pioneer for this service.

I thought it was pretty standard by now but I guess not. I mainly use godaddy and always liked that I could do that. I have been starting to use dynadot too but haven't transferred anything out yet. I just found it strange that enom based registrars suddenly stopped allowing instant transfers.
