Explaination from EURODNS CEO: EuroDNs updates the status message of pending domains.

EuroDNS updates today the message displayed in the accounts so that everybody understands why these domains are still pending.

Here is the text displayed in the accounts:

Behind the pending .asia name that are in this situation of "pending auction" you will see: Waiting for pending Auction to close

With a link to the explanation page:

The domain you applied for is in an auction process for now.

During the Landrush more than one person applied for this domain. That’s the reason this domain is undergoing an auction (starting 7th April) between the persons that applied for the domain during the Landrush. You cannot participate to the auction unless you also applied for it during the Landrush and not only during the GoLive.

Once the auction is over there are two possible scenarios:

1) The auction has been won by one of the applicants and the domain will be registered to this person. In this case your application is closed you will be re-credited to your account automatically.

2) Nobody has submitted a bid to the domain during the auction process and the domain becomes available again. In this case EuroDNS will try to catch the domain for you and fulfill the pending application into a registration.

I hope this clarifies the situation and I am sorry for not having displayed the explaination earlier.
Be sure that nobodies money gets stolen and that we do all our best to get the domains for you.

We are also sorry that our support is a bit overwhelmed for now as many people want details about auctions, discount, GoLive etc... We are doing our best to catch up.

Good luck to all .asia domain believers.

Xavier Buck, that's all good but our domain hasn't even been submitted yet. 4 days have passed and the status is still "Ready for submission".

We could go and register it at Moniker right now, it's all up for grabs. I understand the fact that you're busy and support is overwhelmed, but it still shouldn't take 4+ days to complete a registration.

Hello Xavier,

40 of my landrush domains have a status of submitted to register (whats left of the ones already credited) and I don't get any e-mail or does it indicate in my account that it is going to auction? I am assuming that I am not the only one who tried to reg the name so is this going to auction?

Also, about the 2 month waiting period before we could change the DNS of our choice, are you the only registrar who is doing this from outside the US? I can see that the domains confirmed that have been reg to me are already resolving with a 2 click lander and great advertisers which means if it gets visitors it will be generating income, true?

I just hope that when the 2 months have lapsed and you guys find out that the domain is worthy!!! that it will not disappear from our account!!!!

Exactly. We're not talking about landrush applications here, Xavier. Its regs from GoLive 26th March or later that are still 'ready for submission'. I know they were available when i regged them because i went and got them from another registrar (GoDaddy) several hours later when i realised EuroDNS had scammed me by taking my cash and not processing my order. By the way, timing in a GoLive situation is pretty darn important imo. If you snooze then you loose. EuroDNS were snoozing big time. Fyi, they are still 'ready for submission' lol!

After five days, here's what EuroDNS support wrote...

Dear Customer,

"Ready for submission" means that there is a problem with your domain and we must check

it. In 90 % is the domain already taken.

Unfortunately must i tell you that some of your domains are already taken.

Have a nice day

Eurodns aka WORSE COMPANY

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

okay, I will try breifly explaining my experience with them.

On the day of first day of landrush, I tried submitted my domain through them Eurodns.com with a promo of 4 euros.

I submitted these following domains, this is what I copied today on my account from Euro Dns below

EuroDNS Actions
The following actions are currently pending. Only the last 10 actions are shown here, if more than 10 actions are available you can access them using the 'Show more actions' Button

Domain Action Description Todo by
observe.asia new Ready for submission EuroDNS
entertains.asia new Ready for submission EuroDNS
majority.asia new Ready for submission EuroDNS
refer.asia new Submitted to the registry EuroDNS
current.asia new Submitted to the registry EuroDNS

After waiting enough, I tried submitted lots of tickets to eurodns, but I did not get any response, if you guys need the those ticket number, please contact me, so here we go again, I then at the last end, I faxed them my complaint, for the international fax over to the Luxembourg (eurodns base), I paid 5.99 us dollars.
I faxed to Xavier fax number to the following number and contact below:-

Fax:
+352 26 37 25 - 37

General Manager :
Xavier Buck

After faxing them the document, I then waited for another week, still did not get response, and today 30th of march 2008, I still have not gotten any response, out of my 5 domains, 3 are in the status of "ready for submission", 2 are submitted to the registry, and I still have not gotten any response regarding those 2 that had been submitted.
This expereince and negative way of doing business with eurodns had really disturbed me mentally.

SO, i logged on domain.com, and checked Entertains.asia, it was avaliable, then I registered and went back on eurodns, it was still in the status " ready for submission".

so after that, I have lost my hope and interest in this company, if you guys want to verify with eurodns,

so feel free to message me.

But one thing I would like to mention is, WORSE EXPEREINSE, WORSE COMPANY, WHY RUN promo if you can't satisfy the customer, please avoid this company whosoever. Especially never order your golive landrush or any applications through EURODNS in the future.

Thanks
PunjabiSikh

I am still waiting for RESPONSE, NO RESPONSE from Xavir either, who I had faxed my documents. or any Support member been over two weeks.

So disappointed with their service.

We decided to try other european ccTLD's and registered another 5 domains with EuroDNS. two of the domains were in our possession within 5 minutes, the rest have a status that says "registration in progress".

I totally understand that .ASIA is popular and they have a lot of registrations to take care of, but hopefully they can grab that last .asia for us as well.

They've been pretty good with the rest of the ccTLD's we've registered with them. The only domain that seems to give them problems is the .asia extension. We registered a .asia a week ago and it's still pending :(

and no, it's not going up for auction!
