You rely on estibot valuation when in it's in your favour either as buyer or a seller.

The dollar valuation is not to be taken literally - it may change, and it is only an aggregate of the various metrics. Do not make a purchase or sale decisions based on this appraisal.

If they state it's not that much use, why would anyone else?


It's a guide, and some of the metrics are useful, but as the pricing is as much inaccurate as it is accurate then it makes it entirely pointless as you don't know when it's accurate or not.
Also, for keyword domains, it can't take into account the plethora of parameters which can change from day to day - market values, news, hypes, fads, business changes, etc.

It's simply one of the many tools you should use to evaluate a domain name.


As for that specific domain name. Is that perhaps a premium registration keyword? So Estibot deems its value based on the minimum someone has to pay?

They are fun to look at there are several. EPIK has a free estimator, FreeValuator.com https://www.freevaluator.com/ has a cool one gives ya 5 free per day. you can even print out a little certificate. Of course Estibot, as well as Godaddy for their customers. VALUATE.com https://www.domaining.com/valuate/ I think its powered by Estibot if I remember correctly.

I would be willing to bet if you plgged your domain in all you would get all different appraisal

So is Estibot telling the truth? They all are in their own way. The truth is software will always have a hard time giving you a truly accurate appraisal. I never rely on any of them. Interesting maybe, reliable no.
There are a lot of smart and honest people on NP that will give you a true read on any domain. Watch sales at the auctions for types of domains that are selling and for what. Watch NameBio on a regular basis. Understand what is selling and why. Even with all that you never know how bad someone wants a Name. Study and go with your gut.

About Database.media it is a nice name but IMO its no where near $3,000. With that being said I am far from a pro... so find that person who needs DATABASE.media and can afford 3k and go to selling....

Esibot is crap but yes if your having a good esibot value of a domain. You can write it , while selling a domain . psychological Marketing
