Traffic is only a portion of the value. "Sports" as a subject matter carries a large part of the value.

eSports is huge now. Dota 2 alone has a prize pool of $20M for just one tournament and they have a bunch of tournaments every year with prize ranging from $100k-$2M. Then there's CS:Go, Overwatch, Starcraft, League Of Legends, and so on. So, I'm not really surprised.

eSports becomes huge and for me domain eSports.net was sold for cheap. eSports.com is under construction and I hope will be live asap.
I am from Poland and I see evolution of ESports events Intel Extreme Masters in Katowice since 11 years.

You have to know that "ProGamer" does not have that much value as "gamer" or "gaming" is something that some persons still think is a waste of time.
But "Sports" or better yet "eSports" is something else as tournaments have real money rewards now and are much more appreciated.

Edit: I do enjoy a game when I have the time though.
