Just curious what you guys think epic.wtf is worth.. I plan on developing it eventually.

Lol, actually, I like that domain. The extension, not so much, but that domain would make for a nice humor site. I don't know what the renewal fee for that is, but I don't see why it would not by worth $xxx. Sure the extension might be brand spanking new, the reg might only be 3 days old, but the domain is yours now, no one else can have it. Someone has owned epicwtf(dot) com for years, undeveloped, so I'd bet any large offers would be made to the .com first, but still it is brandable.

If it was me, I would not worry about pricing it, just build it up as a wtf humor site with video clips and commentary, etc., and wait for a couple of years until there is a history of sales and perhaps some demand.

.WTF is one of those extensions someone might use for a humor or complaint website, but it's not going to be worth investing in.

Just skip this TLD entirely unless you're halfway through a project already and think (for whatever reason) that .WTF is what it needs.

To put my advice in context, I DO own domains in the new TLDs. They're a minor part of my portfolio, but I occasionally gamble on some.

With most TLDs, I would say that SOME domains might be worth buying for resale. But with this TLD, I can confidently say none are, cybersquatting and flukes excepted.

Epic is a word that has been perverted, abused and eviscerated thanks in part to the internet but mainly by mindless media twits who have no imagination and no intellect. So in fact .wtf is the perfect extension for it. It's almost an anti-domain, and the less you think about it the more hilarious it becomes. Good luck. The fate of mankind could possibly be in your hands. No biggie.

You are right. I was looking more at the comments than the post.

I like the name too. I don't see a big aftermarket for .wtf but yes it has some value beacause it matches with the extension.

Epic.wtf is perfect for a social blog. Good content with a good domain will bring value.

That applies to all websites, i happily say development is the key to all the new gtlds gaining traction, however we are appraising a stand alone domain name at this point

I appreciate everyone taking some time to comment on my domain.. That being said I know that these new GTLDs are a bit of a risk. The main reason for the purchase was I saw it as a catchy brandable name as many have suggested ..

I guess I am a gambling man, and hope that good GTLDs hold .. some .. value. I think this is one I will develop with as a "fail" blog type clone to try and drive some visitors. I have not settled in my head on a final concept quite yet.
