Does anybody have a free Enom Reseller Account? I am looking for a reseller account so that I can bid higher than $30 on a soon-to-drop domain.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Sure, just create an account here
http://www.namepros.com/enomsignup.php

Then PM me with your new eNom username and I can convert it to a free eNom reseller account. Offer is open to everyone.

The automated process is still unavailable, but -RJ- can convert the retail account to a reseller one for you.

I know this might sound daft, Are these reseller accounts worth giving a go?

I know there are memebrs here who have them, some feedback would be nice.

Not interested in making £££££££££££ But would you atleast get your investment back?

It depends. If you're talking about reselling domains, you can get started for an investment cost of $0 with a free eNom reseller account. With a reseller account, you can get a free site like this of your own: http://domains.namepros.com/ and earn a commission on whatever names you sell. How much you profit depends on the price you pay eNom per domain.

Most people with eNom reseller accounts simply use them to manage their own domains though.

Excuse my ignorance, but I've been wondering about a few things with eNom accounts.

For simply managing domain names, what is the advantage of a reseller account over a retail account?

Why is pricing on eNom much higher than the retail accounts provided here?

What are the advantages of signing up through NP rather than through eNom directly (reseller account)?

If I had a domain name with a retail account, could I push it to a reseller account for free (e.g. NameCheap)?

Sorry for the load of questions - thought I'd ask the experts. ;)
Thanks in advance.

The weirdest thing. Pool.com snapped a droping domain that was registered at Enom. That's funny, luckily I used Pool just incase this time around. :)

A reseller account has a few additional options that allow you to resell names and create sub-accounts. For managing your own names, there is no advantage.

That's just their business model. They do offer reduced pricing to the public if you're willing to make a deposit. See https://www.enom.com/resellers/ A large percentage of eNom's registrations are done through their reseller program, so part of the reason may be so not to undercut their own resellers.

The main advantage is you don't have to deposit $500 with eNom if you get a free eNom reseller account through NamePros. Features are the same.

Yes you can push to from an eNom reseller account to a retail account and vice-versa. However, you can't push into NameCheap because they use their own username system (similar to NamePros NP$ Registration system).

Thanks for the info, bit too pricey for me, though. Thanks anyway.

Shouldn't reseller accounts have discounted pricing?

You would think. You can get lower priced reseller accounts direct from eNom, but you need to depsosit money with them to get it.
