Enom Account Disabled?

Enom disabled my account, and at the worst time possible as well - right when a domain was sold was in that account.

Let me explain the situation. I have 2 accounts on Enom. The old one that has most of my domains, and the new one which has a single domain, that was coincidentally involved in a sale that I made today.

I bought a few domains a few weeks ago, and one of them had expired on me. So instead of paying the $30 on my regular old account, I created a new retail account, pushed the domain over to it, and renewed it. The new account was working fine even yesterday. Today I wake up and when I log-in to push the domain to the buyer, it says, "Account disabled" when I try logging in. I tried calling them but the guy told me to email account security department. This is the response I get from the security department now:

So now I have to go through all of this. Great. I think I learned my lesson here, don't make 2 accounts on the same IP address? :'( :'(

Hi cfguru360,
Is that your own conclusion? or eNom told you so? I doubt so...

The possibility that I can think of is
Is there any charge-back on the CC that funds your new account??

Hmmm... well, I've seen lots of people with multiple accounts at eNom. To the best of my knowledge there is nothing wrong with that (assuming nothing *funny* is going on). Somebody please correct me if that's not the case.

I've never seen a instance of them disabling an account for the reason of having multiple accounts. Anyone who has or had a "Sipence" account or a combination of a reseller account and a simple buying account would also be among this group - Which probably includes half the people I know in this industry.

I'd think it was based on the funding as someone mentioned already. Did you possibly use the same funding source for both accounts ? Or an overlapping ID/contact info on the funding source ?

Resellers are allowed to create as many sub accounts as they want. There is never a problem with multiple accounts created this way, provided there is no misuse. Perhaps cfguru360's situation was different because it was two retail accounts? That would make sense, because Enom requires resellers to be "verified" and from that point on they will hold the parent liable for any sub-account activity.

I keep domains in my ETP account, and in my original reseller account (under another ETP). A few times when requesting enom support, I have told them both logins.

I have a Sipence account, too. But have not used it in a while. Are Sipence retail accounts still a simple push to/from regular enom accounts?

I do have multiple accounts with Enom for years without any problem.

Maybe it is not the multiple account problem then. I did use the same contact information for both accounts. But then, how is that a fraud risk? I mean, if everyone is saying that they have 2 accounts then wouldn't you guys have it disabled for having 2 accounts with same contact information as well?

I faxed them the info, I'm now waiting for Enom to respond.
